The residents and visitors of Kaunas could see the “Frost Tree” on the Town Hall Square, covered with a thick and cold layer of snow made from food packaging film, which, of course, was recycled. The 20-meter-high evergreen tree was decorated by members of the Old Town community and volunteers, who added more warmth to the tree. The festive city tree was adorned with white decorations resembling frost, adorned with green lights and life-sized figures of thrushes. From inside the tree, the chirping of birds could be heard, reminding everyone of the approaching spring and the sounds of birds that bring a sense of hope and freedom.
