Christmas Tree “Childhood Tale”, 2015

This year’s tree is a vintage one adorned with enlarged prototypes of museum toys, connected to the internet. Its toys are remotely controlled, for example, the wheels of a hanging train may occasionally spin or a rocking horse may suddenly start rocking. These antique toys help evoke childhood memories and old traditions, warming the hearts of everyone. Inside the tree, visitors also found other smart surprises and, of course, the opportunity to write greetings and well wishes.

The lighting of the Kaunas tree was part of the thirteenth “Fulfilment Campaign”, where all people of goodwill were invited to donate to children with serious illnesses. On the festive evening, Merūnas Vitulskis, Linas Adomaitis, and the choir “Jaunystė” shared their musical creations, along with Laura Remeikienė and a children’s choir, Gražvydas from the blind choir “Feniksas”, Ovidijus Vyšniauskas, Neringa Nekrašiūtė, and participants from the “X Factor” project.
