Summer of artists in Kaunas Zoo

From June to September, an intense creative process is taking place in the renovated Kaunas Zoo, aimed at creating and installing educational spaces for children and adults in the new exotarium building, using visual and artistic tools. This summer, the exotarium building, which has no analogues in Lithuania, has become home to the muses of art, who are helping artists create a unique and unprecedented interior.

This summer promises to be very exciting both creatively and educationally. The significance, beauty, and fragility of our planet’s fauna will be revealed through visual means, creating playful, interactive, and visually impactful educational spaces. Our goal is to encourage visitors not only to discover, learn, and teach the importance of conservation but also to provide them with a sense of aesthetic satisfaction. For this purpose, unique, original objects with high artistic value are being created.

The team of professional artists includes various creators from the city of Kaunas, with the help of students from the Kaunas Art Gymnasium and Kaunas Academy of Arts.
