Paper Whispering – My Hidden Music
21 of December , 2013 artist Gaila Akelienė made the exhibition of her works „Paper whispering – my hidden music“ . About the exhibition she said:
‘I would like you to listen to them so that I would not have to explain anything. Mostly I am not the one who tries to say something with my creations, but they, as they are being born, whisper to me as if they had something to tell me. When I fall into categories I start to hear about flexibility. If I wind up in the winter I start to see blooming which even if bitten by the cold can still be charming.
I do not raise any objectives, I only try to listen to my heart, and hear the words it saying to me
“Everyone’s journey is different and our thoughts are what determine if we are to bloom to breed the fruits or perhaps we are simply buds. Perhaps it is our calling to obey the current or it is to fly and very high”.
Things touched by our hands and our hearts, may rise for a new life. Even flowers, frozen by harsh winter winds can start a new life and become a bud again. And even if God has not made us into flowers, we can still bloom.
