The world is full of wonders, and traveling helps us discover them. It always feels like the traveler’s guardian – Hermes – accompanies me on my journeys.
In a rushing world, we are but a small part of it. Yet, that doesn’t stop us from creating a unique, personal miniature world: one filled with special moments, unexpected thoughts, memories, and the little trinkets gathered along life’s journey. And suddenly, you realize that this is a kind of treasure! Especially in an emotional sense. You feel that it’s something you must share with others, as if it takes on new value, creating a small, personal world where the most important moments, discoveries, and treasures collected along life’s journey come together.
Guided by these thoughts, I began creating a series of miniatures called “Mylimukai” (“Little Loves”), where I hand-embroidered beads onto photos printed on canvas. Each “Mylimukai” miniature connects the memories and moments I want to preserve and share.
